Workshop Locations & Techniques
Throughout the weekend, we will visit some of Malta's most beautiful coastal locations, with each destination focusing on a specific photographic technique to help you build both your technical and creative skills.
🌅 Sunrise – It-Taqtija, Delimara
Technique: Long Exposure Photography
We will begin our journey at the dramatic coastline of Delimara, where you'll learn how to use long exposures to create movement and atmosphere in your images. We will cover the use of filters, shutter speed selection, and how to transform crashing waves into beautiful, silky seascapes.
🌅 Sunset – Għajn Tuffieħa & Il-Karraba
Technique: Composition
The iconic landscapes of Għajn Tuffieħa and Il-Karraba provide the perfect setting to explore the art of composition. We will learn how to simplify a scene, use leading lines, foreground interest, and visual balance to create stronger and more impactful images.
🌅 Sunrise – St. Paul's Islands
Technique: Bracketing & Dynamic Range
At one of Malta's most scenic viewpoints, we will focus on exposure bracketing and how to make the most of a scene's dynamic range. You will learn when and how to bracket exposures and techniques for preserving detail in both highlights and shadows.
🌅 Sunset – Red Tower, Mellieħa
Techniques: Composition & Focus Stacking
Our final session takes us to the historic Red Tower, where we will combine creative composition with focus stacking techniques. You will learn how to achieve front-to-back sharpness while building strong compositions that make the most of the surrounding landscape.
Post-Processing Video Included
To complete the experience, all participants will receive an exclusive post-processing video following the workshop. In this session, we will demonstrate our complete editing workflow using one of the images captured during the workshop, covering from RAW processing and exposure adjustments to final refinements.
This gives you the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of how to turn your field captures into finished photographs.
